Implant's Restoration to Support Dentures

Too many people who have conventional dentures don't wear them for the simple fact that they don't stay in place. Dental implants offer a way to keep dentures in place and allow you to go about your daily life with confidence.

The use of dental implants to stabilize dentures has proven to be successful for hundreds of thousands of people. The number continues to grow daily as word spreads about the effectiveness and long-term durability of the treatment. In fact, dental implants have the highest success rate of any implanted surgical device

Uncovering the implants
When the area for treatment is ready the dentist will puncture a hole in the gum tissue right above the dental implants in order to expose his cap. This is a small surgical procedure that requires local anesthetics.

Abutments Placement
Ball abutments will be screwed on top of the implants.

There are many types of abutments to support dentures. Balls abutments as showed in the picture are just one way to support the dentures. Bars attached to the implants with female clips on the denture are also used in many cases.

Denture attachment
Female attachments that clip over the ball abutments are placed in the inner part of the denture. Many techniques are used, but the final goal is to create a secure attachment of the denture to the jawbone. This provides the stabilization and control needed for a comfortable and functional use of the removable dentures.
